VEAB has got the pleasure to deliver fan heaters from our Robust series to big Russian container/cargo vessels in the Arctic Ocean.

The vessels have been specially constructed for the rough environment and are able to brake through 1,5 m of polar ice. The ice breaking function makes transports in the area easier, as there is no use for a traditional ice breaker.  These special vessels have a tonnage of 14500 ton and the length is almost 170 m.  The German shipyard Aker-Werften in Wismar and Warnemünde is building the four vessels, and VEAB equip them with fan heaters Robust V.
